Police are looking for a male and female that have made off following an incident of dangerous driving between Bembridge and Brading this afternoon (Thursday).
A black Ford Cougar is understood to have been driving dangerously on Sandown Road, Bembridge before being spotted by Police, who initiated a pursuit towards Brading via Yarbridge.
Members of the public helped point the Police in the right direction into Wrax Road off New Road, where a Police motorcyclist was almost hit by the car as it rolled down the hill having been abandoned by the pair.
The vehicle has come to rest in the garden of a property, thankfully missing parked cars and other properties. The Police officer has escaped any injury.
The male driver and his female passenger – who are thought to have made off in the direction of The Mall – are now being sought by Police.
Anyone with information as to the identity of those involved or anyone who was overtaken by the vehicle (T810 FFX) are asked to contact Police on 101
