£325 was raised for Cowes Men’s Shed at this year’s Community Quiz at Trinity Theatre.
Community Quizzes have been running for several years (except during lockdown) and have raised many thousands of pounds for local charities. They are run by Cowes Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, which is also a non-profit voluntary organisation.
The quiz masters were the ever-popular Pete and Tracy Asher.
Cowes Men’s Shed is a charity located on Somerton Industrial Estate. They offer a place where men can go and socialise and do all sorts of craft, DIY, repairing, and drinking tea. There is also a large horticultural area for the gardeners. Women are also very welcome.
The project is aimed at improving the wellbeing of men and women over 18. The shed is open from 10:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.
