A 14-year-old girl from the Isle of Wight, charged with attempted murder after attacking her grandmother with 2 guitars, has appeared at Swindon Crown Court this week.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent – a charge accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). As a result, the attempted murder charge has been withdrawn.
Previously, the court had heard that the teen had attempted to use 2 guitars as weapons during the attack in Shanklin on 19th February.
The girl has been remanded in a youth detention centre and will next appear at Swindon Crown Court for sentencing next month.

Where does it say that low life has to be a certain age before it becomes dangerous scum and a threat to others? If the are old enough to be dangerous then they are old enough to be punished.
Exactly! The do gooders are the ones to blame for most of the bad in our society. Sticking up constantly for people born with bad in them, so the bad people become even worse because they know they’ve got all the do gooders on their side. And classing them as “children” until they’re eighteen years of age is ridiculous.
