Community groups, charities and organisations across the Isle of Wight are being encouraged to apply for a new £2,000 fund launched by Hartford Care to support initiatives benefiting older people.
The care provider is inviting applications from Island-based organisations seeking financial support for a project or initiative that will make a difference to older members of the community.
Applicants are being asked to outline the services they currently provide and explain how they would use the £2,000 funding.
Application forms can be collected from any of Hartford Care’s 4 Isle of Wight care homes, including Highfield in Ryde, Inver House and The Elms in Bembridge, and Springfield in Shanklin.
Alternatively, organisations can apply online at www.hartfordcare.co.uk/community-fund.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 9th November, with every entry set to be considered by a judging panel made up of Hartford Care staff and residents.
The successful organisation will be notified shortly afterwards, with a celebratory reception planned for November.
Emma Jones, Operations Director at Hartford Care, has said:
“Our company ethos is ‘Creating Caring Communities’, with our philosophy of care underpinned by creating communities that are friendly, kind and welcoming of everyone, caring for each other and celebrating individuality by recognising that everyone needs something different to thrive.
“What better way to give back to our wonderful communities than supporting local initiatives? We look forward to hearing from the fantastic organisations across the Isle of Wight.”
Those wishing to collect an application form can visit Highfield at 33 Queen’s Road, Ryde; Inver House on Foreland Road, Bembridge; Springfield at 26 Arthurs Hill, Shanklin; or The Elms on Swains Road, Bembridge.
