38-year-old Reza Hatami has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of 7 years after masturbating in public in the view of a shocked 56-year-old woman.
As previously reported by Island Echo, on 12th July last year a woman was walking through the wooded area of Rosemary Lane and Pig Leg Lane in Ryde when a man – now known to be Hatami – indecently exposed himself. He continued to ‘play with himself’ as the woman walked away.
Hatami was arrested soon after and following a thorough investigation by Hampshire Constabulary was charged with intentionally exposing his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress contrary to section 66 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Reza, of Green Street in Ryde, denied the charge against him but was found guilty in December. He appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Monday where he was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Hatami has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of 7 years and told to complete 20 rehabilitation days. The court also imposed costs of £650 with a £128 surcharge.

I expect the judges live in quiet country lanes, with their daughters safe in huge gardens and having paddocks to enjoy their ‘lockdown’ whilst many only have parks and areas such as this, now being filled with dregs from the world to make these places unsafe.
