A superyacht stewardess from the Isle of Wight is making waves as she joins the cast of the acclaimed TV show Below Deck Mediterranean.
Cathy Skinner, from Sandown, joins the crew of luxury superyacht ‘Mustique’ as a stewardess during Season 10 of the popular television series, which follows the lives of crew members working on charter boats in the Mediterranean.
The former dental nurse entered the yachting industry 5 years ago after recovering from major spinal surgery, a life-changing experience that she describes as a second chance.
Now based between yachts and destinations around the world, Cathy is known for her attention to detail, glam style, and high expectations.
She makes her first appearance on the show in Episode 7, which aired this week in the United States. Viewers are introduced to her as she joins the boat’s interior team, where early episodes hint at rising tension with fellow crew members.
Cathy has said she already knew many people in the industry due to her Isle of Wight roots, calling herself “bossy, organised, a clean freak’ and ‘the epitome of a yacht stew’.
Bravo producers have described her as a standout personality in this year’s cast, and online fans are already reacting to her confident arrival.
Below Deck Mediterranean is now in its 10th season and remains one of the most-watched franchises on the Bravo network.
UK fans can stream the show via Hayu or watch selected episodes through Peacock and other on-demand platforms.
