The Fire Brigades Union has this afternoon called off a 5 hour strike planned for tomorrow evening (Saturday).
As previously reported, members of the Fire Brigades Union across the country were set to strike between 18:30 and 23:30 including here on the Isle of Wight.
Pickett lines were planned for Newport and Ryde fire stations.
The last-minute cancellation comes after progress in talks over pension reforms.
