An amber weather warning is in force for the Isle of Wight today (Sunday) as Storm Ciara hits, bringing the risk of damage to buildings, disruption to power supplies and significant travel disruption.
Gusts of 80mph+ are expected across the Island with extremely high waves battering the coast, according to the latest forecast from IW Met Service. As a result, Island Echo is reporting live on the storm.
The worst of the weather is expected between 06:00-16:00, peaking around 11:00.
