ISLAND BACK INTO LOCKDOWN FROM THURSDAY ANNOUNCES PRIME MINISTER
Share on FacebookShare on X

The Government has announced that from Monday groups of more than 6 people will not be permitted to meet at home, in outdoor spaces or in pubs and restaurants.

With coronavirus cases starting to creep up again, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has taken quick action in an attempt to control the virus in what is the biggest crackdown since lockdown was eased.

There are some exceptions to the rule with work and education gatherings still permitted, as well as gatherings of more than 6 in a ‘bubble’.

Article continues below this advertisement

Weddings, funerals and organised team sports will also be permitted in a COVID-secure way, with further details to be announced in due course.

The rules apply to all persons and anyone found breaching the rules could be fined £100 up to a maximum of £3,200.

Tonight’s news will undoubtably frustrate many and could well put Boris’ plan of life returning to a near-normal by Christmas.

The question on many lips is… how much longer can this really continue?

Can’t see this being adhered to! Why are they going off cases when deaths are near zero. This farce is killing more people than the virus could hope to, let’s just get on with our lives, I know I will be!

The issue isn’t the death, the very simple message is to stop the spread of the virus….
Yes, the death toll is getting lower as time goes on but the virus is still out there, people need to realise that they need to stop the spread

Dave….. it’s still out there and it will always be out there so what’s the point in new measures. What you don’t catch this year you will catch next year and so on. What your not understanding is it’s here to stay. No more of this hide and seek.

The Gov were BRIBING the dim electorate to ‘go out to eat’, KNOWING full well it was dangerous to do so, HENCE the bribe to tempt the wary.

Now the holiday season is over, the truth can be allowed out, as to ‘say’ it before would scare off many people, or purses.

Wait until queuing in the cold, wet, dark days of Winter, see how many businesses fail then as few will venture out or spend unless absolutely necessary.

Say ‘Marshall’ to yourself, now say ‘Martial’, they sound the same right , the Marshall’s are going to enforce the ‘law’ say ‘Marshall Law’ now say ‘Martial Law’. They are implementing ‘MARTIAL LAW’. Businesses are going to have to close 10pm to 5am = Curfew.

Likely being ‘used’ as a Ploy to keep us in, or to get us back in the EU, by impoverishing the nation, then the EU superstate can continue its dream of one state, making single ruling of a mixed race easier, given enough time.

How I agree with you Zac. Not just Europe, this is a world New Order taking shape. They are causing unrest, tragedy and conflict throughout the world. Gungadin needs to get out of his little ‘checking Island echo’ every day and start to look at the bigger picture. He will no doubt call me “mad as a hatstand”, but we will see.!!

Sweden has a far lower population density and yet their infection rate, considering their smaller population, is bad. Even with the lock down and other measures we have lost over an EXTRA 60,000 people this year. This is over and above the numbers that would have died from the Flu. 60,000 EXTRA! Anyone who thinks it’s time to behave like the US and just ignore it are in a dream world. Over 1,000 people A DAY die in the US.

How many deaths a day is ok for you to continue as normal?

Get ready to apply for the job as a Covid Marshall that our dear government will encourage councils to recruit . I for one won’t. By the way I stay safe more than most. Also I wish you early about a Merry Christmas or as the government will say Humbug. It’s bloody obvious that more tests will reveal covid19 but the main question is how many required immediate hospitalisation sand how many unfortunate souls die. The government won’t release that. Stay safe.

Go to youtube and watch the latest News Report from the UKColumn News (user). Presenters today are Mike, Brian Gerrish (retired Naval Officer) and Alex Thomson (ex-British Intelligence) for in DEPTH reporting.
Coroni is so clever it knows when the 14th is and will leave gatherings greater than 6 alone until then.

They did not lie and you seem to have missed the point. From the very start they said they would have to close and release the ‘tap’ up.to ten times whilst the virus is circulating.
This is to keep cases down each time there is another flare up.
Rather than just read the media or politicians, perhaps read some of the scientific papers or look at studies by Kings College London.
By the way you are not being imprisoned and are being rather dramatic. You can still go out, stay in, go to pubs, restaurants, travel abroad, shop and even get your eye brows done.
You clearly don’t understand what the term imprisoned means…

all we see is government interfering in our daily lives – it is our choice what we do, not a bunch of self serving dictators in london.
perhaps people should stay in if they are at risk and let the rest of us get on with things -more people die everyday of other things and nothing is said.

this is about control and nothing more

We don’t have a choice about this. They should just put the whole country in full lockdown again until this virus is gone. Simple as that!! If we just carry on with things then we’ll be putting more vunerable people at risk and that is selfish and stupid! Just follow the rules….end of.

It isn’t a ‘so called pandemic’ it is a pandemic, but it’s people who think ‘it’s nothing’ that are part of the problem. Better to wear a mask, wash hands and keep distance instead of the option of being on a ventilation system or dead.

I agree that more people should take note and abide by the recommendations. I was on the most vulnerable list and remained inside (a caravan) for 4 months, no shopping, exercising or socialising. Yes I was protected from the virus but open to everything else that being confined brings. Baking and cooking was being done out of boredom and then having to eat it was not good on the body, just over 1 stone put on. I can honestly say that I feel worse now mentally and physically than I did going into lock down, but yes I am still alive.

To the people who think this is fake or unnecessary. When you loose a loved one to this you need to ask yourself “Did I infect them?”. Highly likely you did if you ignore all the advice and so YOU will have killed your family member or friend.

We are very lucky that the people of the 2nd would war did not think like these idiots who think it’s all a conspiracy. Otherwise we would be part of Germany.

Back then they listened to the government, followed their advice, and kept the UK safe and helped to free the world. Time you to do the same! That is unless you’re so self centred you would rather kill the UK!

Remember, in the US, only 2% have been infected and yet they have over 1000 deaths a day!

Mrs brown, regardless of what is on the death certificate – how you explain nearly 60k excess deaths?

Those death figures don’t lie. Are you trying to tell me all those excess deaths were a coincidence during a worldwide pandemic?

Please show me the figures to show that a cold or flu has the same death rate or the same long recovery period as Covid19.

So far all under you taking is non scientific rubbish you’ve read somewhere. I don’t think you understand the situation and your lack of understanding shows.

Forget alt media and main stream media.

Look at the science, read the reports, looks at what is actually happening to populations across the world.

You just keep banging on about the same dangerous opinions with no actual substance. Your disbelief is perhaps a reaction as you don’t want to believe what is happening which is fair enough but it really scares me.

As my last post didn’t get put up I’ll try again!
They have lied the whole way through this PLANDEMIC!
1) fabrication of what people have died off! Sick in my opinion. LIES
2) they have admitted this – look for yourself if you must.
3) don’t need to wear masks as pose risk to health – now need to wear a mask, which lowers your immune system plus you breath in carbon monoxide LIES
4) real doctors have come clean about it. Do your own research. It’s flu.
5) videos used multiple times of the same hospital for various different locations. LIES. Do your own research.
6) lied that it’s law to keep 2m distance. MORE LIES

That’s fine that my opinions scare you.. and honestly they way you all believe the bulls***t scares me too!

Have you seen these 60k deaths for yourself? Or are you just believing the crap that you hear. Where is your evidence of it!

I don’t need to prove anything to anyone as I have the intelligence to do my own research. And have an open mind. So for now I have my own opinions if you don’t like them don’t bloody read them!

How can you say “regardless of what is on a death certificate” death certificate is an official document issued by a Government to the nearest relatives of a deceased stating the date, fact, and cause of death.
So this should be factual and not bullshit! – major “cock up” of a cover up!

Sick to keep reading the government are lying and the BBC are doing the same, along with the comments this is JUST FLU. IT AIN’T JUST FLU !
The Government might be clueless and incompetent in dealing with the virus, the BBC relay the facts as known, that does not equate to knowing the information given is correct.

The reason this Virus is now developing is largely due to people NOT doing as asked, whether it is not social distancing or wearing masks.

Johnson has not got alot of things right! and nor have alot of people by not being socially responsible etc.
This is not just Flu and for varius reasons we are all about to pay the price, be it physical or financial.

Nice one Phil – I’d be happy to be number 101.

Cases on the island have doubled each week with 35 active cases at the moment.

That may seem small but unless the rate changes that will result in 4,480 cases by Friday 30th October on the Isle Of Wight.

At the moment there are no tests or people are getting sent to Portsmouth for a test.

With schools going back, the rule of 6 won’t make a massive difference. Let’s see where we are at in October.

Too many people young mostly, without masks, in shops in groups, even waiting for public transport those not wearing masks could be the carriers, as of course they will never catch it… Young adults do not seem to care, they just walk around with a beer in hand, ‘sorry cannot wear mask, am drinking, !!
They do not care,, I feel sad for their families and if when they have children.. but obvious they do not care about that..
