Two appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have responded to reports of a burning smell coming from a block of flats in Ryde this afternoon (Saturday).
Firefighters from Ryde Fire Station were called to the property on the corner of Belvedere Street and Melville Street at 13:00 after a resident dialed 999.
An inspection of the property has been carried out, however no fire has been located.
Crews have now stood down from the incident.
