A small sink hole has appeared on a quiet residential road in Ryde today (Saturday).
Residents on Osborne Road in the town spotted the 2ft by 2ft hole at around 16:00 this afternoon before reporting the issue to Island Roads.
The area has been cordoned off whilst investigations take place to identify the cause and work is carried out to repair the carriageway.
Ryde has fallen victim to a number of sink holes over the years including on 3 neighbouring roads -Queen’s Road, Argyll Street and Arthur Street.
