The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has airlifted a man from Simeon Street recreation ground in Ryde this afternoon (Thursday).
The life-saving helicopter – in its yellow and green livery – landed at the park in the heart of Ryde at 14:45.
With crowds watching on, the helicopter took off again at 15:50 en-route to Southampton General Hospital.
It’s the fourth time the air ambulance has landed ‘in the field’ on the Island this past week, alongside other missions to St Mary’s helipad.
