Elderly residents at St Vincents retirement home in Binstead have written messages to family and friends – keeping up morale in this time of uncertainty.
Staff say they are the ‘luckiest care home’ to have such amazing, strong-minded residents.
With social distancing being recommended by Government, especially for those over the age of 70, residents have been writing messages to loved ones which are now being shared with you here on Island Echo.
The care team have also written their own message and they say ‘we will beat coronavirus!’.
The retirement home on Binstead Road recently celebrated its 1st birthday under new ownership.

Next time you (not everybody) decide to panic buy and clear the supermarket shelves of almost everything in them, please spare a thought for elderly people like this, and many more all over the country, who also need things. God bless them!
A message to all the young people running around in groups, you’re spreading a killer virus to your family. If they die, it probably came from you.
That’s rather a sweeping statement just to blame young people. Why don’t you just say all Italians are probably killing people?
