UPDATED: Police are today (Saturday) investigating a second break in at a Spar convenience store on the outskirts of Newport.
Officers were called to the Spar store on Gunville Road earlier this morning after it was discovered a window had been smashed and alcoholic spirits taken.
Scenes of crime investigators have been at the scene collecting evidence, however have since concluded their initial investigations and the store reopened around 10:15.
Island Echo understands two persons have been arrested in relation to the incident.
The same store was the target of a break in last month.

UPDATE MONDAY – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a 16-year-old female from Ryde and a 17-year-old male from Newport have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal.
The pair have been bailed until Monday 14th September, pending further enquiries.
