Youth rugby returns to Wootton Rec this Sunday (7th September) as Vectis RFC kicks off the new season.
Vectis RFC is the Isle of Wight’s only youth-only rugby club and welcomes boys and girls aged 5 to 18, regardless of size, ability or experience.
The club provides a supportive, inclusive and fun environment built on the RFU’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship (TREDS).
This year, the girls’ section is growing – especially at U12 level – and Vectis is calling on young girls across the Island to come and give rugby a try. The sport builds confidence, resilience and leadership on and off the pitch.
Women in business, community leaders and local organisations are also being invited to support the girls’ squad through sponsorship, helping to provide kit and equipment while backing the next generation of Island players.
Families are encouraged to head down to Wootton Rec on Sunday to get involved. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already loves the game, Vectis RFC has a place for them.
