A shopkeeper from Ryde has been handed a driving ban by the courts after being caught driving whilst almost twice the legal limit.
41-year-old Thambo Pirapagaron, of Upton Road in Ryde, was stopped by Police on Quarr Hill, Binstead at 23:00 on 26th January this year.
Officers noted a smell of alcohol after stopping the vehicle and requested a roadside breath test to be carried out, which Pirapagaron failed.
He was taken into custody at Newport Police Station where he blew 67.
The court heard that the 41-year-old has 1 previous immigration offence relating to his Asylum to the UK in 2008.
Pirapagaron’s solicitor told the court that his client was remorseful and accepts he was wrong to drive. The court heard from the defence that Thambo had shut up shop and went to visit a friend, but didn’t intend to drink and drive that night. The shopkeeper decided to drive home due to his child’s ill health.
Magistrates handed Thambo Pirapagaron an 18-month driving ban and fined him £250, as well as ordering him to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.
Another Drink Driver
No s**t Sherlock….
And your point being ?
What’s your problem? Do you drink drive? Hit a nerve?
No, I just find it incredibly tedious and predictable to keep stating the obvious.
So some of those being allowed to live in a safe country in which to bring up their often state funded large families are not even respectful enough to be abiding to our laws. Thus making the adopted, by their choice country, unsafe for its own indigenous people.
Lets not keep fooling ourselves that they are all poor victims and when here are assets to us all, some are, and plenty as we read daily by our semi gagged media, are clearly not.
Whilst we have plenty of our own break the law, it seems more disrespectful to do so after a country has given you so much already when you never had a right to be here in the first place..
Bet he works harder than you
Good shout GB,
If this chap works 24 hours a day,
When is he going to find the time to have a sneaky tipple.
Could not have put it better myself !

shouldn’t be here- should have been deported the moment that offence occurred in 2008
