Ryde Inshore Rescue came to the aid of a sailing dinghy in distress off Ryde Sands earlier this afternoon (Sunday).
Solent Coastguard tasked the independent lifeboat station to launch to the casualty vessel at 14:08. Ryde Rescue 2 lifeboat swiftly hit the water and the volunteer crew found 2 persons on board.
The dinghy was towed to Seaview before the lifeboat returned to station.
