In Division 2, match of the week was between Newport Vics C and Ryde Rising Stars. Ryde’s Tom Waddell was player of the match and unbeaten, whilst cadet Jye Lock beat Vic’s Christopher Firth and took experienced Michael Jose to 5 sets. With the score 5-4 to Vics, Waddell and Lock teamed up to take the doubles for Ryde and the match ended in a draw.
Ryde Revellers head the table after a fine 8-2 win over clubmates Ryde Rascals.
