The Isle of Wight seaside spots of Ryde and Seaview have been placed in the top 10 for affordable breaks for couples by self-catering specialists Hoseasons.
Hoseasons report that the majority of Valentine’s bookings have been made by women (71%). Couples are reportedly particularly keen on hot tubs, with 61% requesting a tub for their staycation break.
What is there to spark romance in Ryde? It certainly has the largest expanse of beach on the Island with over a mile of golden sands stretching out into the Solent.
Appley Tower folly is the perfect picturesque spot by the sea for lovers seeking escape from our overcrowded and polluted cities.
Meanwhile Seagrove Bay in Seaview is the ideal secluded seaside location for wandering hand-in-hand far from the madding crowds.
