Police, fire and ambulance crews have all been mobilised to a crash on Forest Road on the outskirts of Newport this morning (Friday).
The incident has occurred near Trumor Feeds at Vittlefields, to the west of Whitehosue Road/Betty Haunt Lane, on the main road connecting Newport to the West Wight.
The road is closed in both directions as a result.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 08:15.
UPDATE @ 08:54 – Police have confirmed that 2 people have been taken to hospital, however, their injuries are not described as life-threatening.
The incident has involved a total of 3 vehicles; a silver Mercedes E250 taxi, a white Mazda CX-5 and a dark grey Vauxhall Corsa, which has come to rest in a hedge.
The road has now reopened under give and take.
