The largest cruise ship based in Britain sailed into Southampton this morning (Friday) ahead of being officially named by HRH Queen Elizabeth next week.
Britannia ruled the waves and she made her way up The Solent, passing Ryde at 11:00 and Cowes around 40 minutes later. The £472million P&O vessel, which can carry 3,600 passengers, weighs an incredible 141,000 tonnes and will be based in Southampton.
Thanks to Island Echo readers for sending in these photographs of the super-liner.
