ROYAL THANKS FOR WEST WIGHT’S CORONAVIRUS SUPPORT HUB

The Earl and Countess of Wessex have praised the work of the West Wight Coronavirus Support Hub this week.

The hub helps those living in the rural West Wight with things like shopping, phone calls, hot meals and prescriptions.

In the letter from Bagshot Park, Their Royal Highnesses Sophie and Edward thank all of the team for what they are doing to organise and help provide an essential support service to the vulnerable and isolated across the West of the Isle of Wight.

They add that the actions, imagination and fortitude of the hub are highly commendable.

Claire Griffin from the West Wight Coronavirus Support Hub says:

“[We] never imagined that news of the West Wight Coronavirus Support Hub would reach royalty. It is really humbling to be acknowledged by their Royal Highnesses, the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

“We must say a massive thank you once again to each and every one of our volunteers, this has been a success because of you!”
