The Royal couple of The Earl and Countess of Wessex have begun their two-day tour of the Isle of Wight today (Thursday).
The pair have a number of joint engagements set for both today and tomorrow, but will also spend time visiting organisations individually across the Island.
Prince Edward has this lunchtime visited Brading Roman Villa and is also set to visit Shanklin Youth and Community Club and Newport Minster later today. Meanwhile, his partner Sophie has paid a visit to Rapanui in Sandown and will visit Gatten and Lake Primary School and the Isle of Wight Foodbank this afternoon.
Shanklin Theatre will host both Royals for lunch before they move onto the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes this evening for a gala dinner.
A helicopter transported Prince Edward and Sophie the Countess of Wessex to Sandown Airport.
Tomorrow the pair will visit St Mildred’s Church in Whippingham, Queensgate Primary School and Osborne House.
