The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) and Yarmouth RNLI were tasked to a 16ft speedboat that washed ashore at Totland yesterday afternoon (Friday).
Solent Coastguard were alerted that a small vessel had washed up without any crew on board, prompting officers from The Needles CRT to investigate.
Initial investigations led to the presumption that the speedboat has broke its mooring and that no persons were in trouble.
Yarmouth RNLI’s All Weather Lifeboat was tasked to tow the boat to Yarmouth Harbour.
