St Vincents Retirement Home in Ryde has gone out of its way to create a safe space in which family can visit their loved ones this Christmas.
The care home staff have worked together to turn one of the spare bedrooms into a secure visiting pod, which they have called the ‘grotto’.
This lovely idea has brought cheer to both residents and families, putting smiles on their faces after a long and challenging year.
Staff in the retirement home wish to encourage other residential homes and care providers across the Island to follow suit in providing facilities for loved ones to come together this festive season.
If back in March you were told by your Government, you will have to put your lives on hold and not see your friends/family for at least a year until an untested and experimental vaccine (that the the pharmaceutical companies having absolutely no liability for) comes along, would you have agreed to that?
No one would have agreed to it but it happened so get over it.
