A Reform UK supporter says she has been targeted in a ‘disgusting’ act of vandalism after election signs outside her Isle of Wight property were covered in ‘blood’ and sanitary products.
Caroline Ross says 2 campaign signs positioned outside her home on the outskirts of Rookley were vandalised overnight ahead of Thursday’s local election vote.
Photographs show the signs splattered with what is believed to be blood, with sanitary towels attached to the boards.
The incident has been reported to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary as a suspected hate crime, with CCTV footage from the property now being reviewed.
Speaking to Island Echo, Caroline said the incident would not deter her from publicly supporting Reform UK.
She has said:
“Intimidation isn’t going to work with me.
“I will now be replacing the A4 signs with big banners.”

For fairness I ran the pictures of the vandalised green party signs through the same app and they flagged as being unlikely to be AI generated (1%)

We received a leaflet this morning which asked “DO YOU AGREE WITH NIGEL FARAGE?” and then went on to use headlines from the BBC and the Guardian and Independent newspaper.
On the reverse side it said “A win here will give backing to Farage’s views that Donald Trump is an inspiration for our country” and was “promoted” by Nick Lowles “on behalf of Hope not Hate”.

Honestly people should just keep who they’re supporting in politics to themselves. It’s a private decision, it shouldn’t be broadcasted to the entire general public who you’re voting for. That’s the job of the political parties. In any case, you can’t support a political party like Reform, with all the complete BS they’ve got in their manifesto, and the same goes with the Green Party manifesto, to which most people don’t ever read it seems, and not expect some sort of backlash from publicity supporting it. I’ve driven past this ladies house, it’s that big rich house with the gated long driveway as you’re leaving rookley going towards newport, if she intends on putting big banners out now as she’s said here, that goes against local council policies, so would anyone from the council tell her no?
