RED JET SERVICE SUSPENDED AS ADVERSE WEATHER PICKS UP

Red Funnel has suspended its hi-speed Red Jet service due to increasing adverse weather conditions. Although all other cross-Solent services are running, the operational limits of Red Jet 6 mean the West Cowes-Southampton service has been brought to a halt. As previously reported by Island Echo, only 1 Red Jet is currently operational due to overrunning refit works with Red Jet 7 and a technical failure of the starboard engine on Red Jet 4. It’s unknown when the service will resume. Red Funnel apologises for the inconvenience caused to your journey.
