Red Funnel has extended its temporary hi-speed timetable as Red Jet 7 is returning to service later than expected. The newest vessel in the fleet was originally due to return to service on Wednesday (24th January), following her scheduled annual refit. However, it has been confirmed that a survey required to return the vessel to the water has been delayed, meaning Red Jet 7 will now return on Saturday 27th January. Red Jet 4 continues to remain out of service due to a technical failure of her starboard engine, meaning the entire West Cowes-Southampton operation is reliant on Red Jet 6. Due to the delayed return of Red Jet 7, the cross-Solent operator is extending the revised Red Jet timetable until Friday.
