Red Funnel has cancelled a number of its hi-speed Red Jet sailings to and from the Isle of Wight this morning (Friday) due to a lack of staff.
The 06:05, 07:15 and 08:25 timetabled sailings from Southampton have been pulled alongside the 06:40, 07:50 and 09:00 sailings from West Cowes.
Limited crew availability has been blamed for the short notice changes, which will particularly impact those travelling for work.
Red Funnel apologies for the inconvenience.
The news comes as Island Echo reports that Prime Minister Keir Starmer has acknowledged the need to tackle the Isle of Wight’s ferry challenges during an exchange with Richard Quigley MP.
