Tdg Charity Fundraiser 2022

RECYCLED CHRISTMAS TREES RAISE £1,025 FOR THE DONKEY SANCUTARY

The recycling of over 130 Christmas trees by TDG Tree Services has raised £1,025 for the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.

Households were once again able to book to have their tree collected and responsibly disposed of, in return for a small donation. Isle of Wight-based People Matter IW received a donation of £500 from TDG Tree Services following the success of 2019’s service, with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance receiving £800 in 2020.

Now, it has been revealed that 2021’s efforts have raised a record amount with over 130 trees chipped and recycled – despite the terrible weather over the weekend.

The team at TDG have said:

“This has been the most successful year yet. We didn’t think we would beat last years’ total but the fantastic Island community proved us wrong!

“We really appreciate all the generous donations and we know the donkeys will too!”

All the chippings will be donated to attractions and parks across the Island.
