ISLAND ice-hockey team the Wightlink Raiders have stated their intent early for the new season with the signing of 22 year old Welsh forward Corey Watkins from Invicta Dynamos.

Watkins, who is known throughout the league as an agitator and big hitter, started his ENL career with Cardiff ENL Devils but has spent the last two seasons in Kent with Invicta Dynamos. He was voted the team’s player of the year last season and in the 2011-2012 season posted stats of 4 goals and 20 assists from 32 games with 142 penalty minutes. He ended the season as the league’s second highest penalty taker.
