Queensgate Foundation Primary School in East Cowes have received clothing, footballs, drinks bottles and other accessories.

Sainsbury’s are also looking to support others as the Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme returns.

Stores in West Cowes and Ryde are looking for a new charity to support from the Isle of Wight area.

Over the next couple of months, Sainsbury’s stores will make a shortlist of charities for customers to vote for. The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness. Customers can vote between 13th – 26th June in stores and online.

Maria Bird, Store Manager of Sainsbury’s West Cowes and Ryde local, said:

“There are so many fantastic charities in the local area who do brilliant work in our community. We’d love to hear from charities we haven’t supported before.”

If you would like to apply, register your interest at the customer service desk or kiosk at Sainsbury’s West Cowes, 129-130 high street Cowes Isle of Wight PO31 7AY to be considered. The nominations close on 9th May.
