A revised timetable is to be in operation for up to 4 weeks on Wightlink’s Fishbourne-Portsmouth vehicle ferry route from Monday (11th March). The cross-Solent operator is warning that the revised timetable – which they haven’t yet released – will be in effect throughout the busy Bank-Holiday Easter weekend. Wightlink has said the propeller was damaged by an ‘underwater object’. All customers affected by these changes will be contacted and see their bookings moved to alternative sailings as close as possible to the original scheduled departures. Customers can then amend the time and date online if they wish or, if they prefer, may cancel their booking for a full refund. A Wightlink spokesperson has said:
“Wightlink regrets any inconvenience to its customers as a result of this unforeseen problem.”
