Police have spent more than 2 days at a caravan site in Apse Heath following the discovery of ‘several’ cannabis plants.
It was on Tuesday afternoon that officers discovered the plants being grown at Village Way off Newport Road, between Apse Heath and Lake.
On Thursday afternoon, officers clad in protective white suits remained on scene.
It’s unknown why Police were called to the caravan site in the first instance, but Island Echo is told there has been a heavy Police presence throughout the week.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that several plants have been seized and an investigation is underway.
I’m guessing they REALLY needed to test for possible drugs for 2 days straight…
Police sick pay may have gone up the following day, as well as McDonald’s profits.
Heavy police presence and 2 days spent on site for several weed plants what a waste of police resources. How this even makes headlines baffles me, clearly no other real crime to be dealing with then
Shut the site down and burn the caravans. I would not mind betting that these belong to tax avoiding scum bag travellers., I may be wrong.
