Police have been called to a crash involving 2 vehicles on Middle Road at Chessell this afternoon (Saturday).
It was just before 15:00 that the cars collided at the junction with Shalcombe Road, resulting in 1 vehicle leaving the carriageway and the other sustaining significant front end damage.
Island Echo has been told that 1 of the vehicles was seen travelling at speed prior to the crash.
No serious injuries have been sustained.
Recovery of 1 of the vehicles is underway, with the other – a black Skoda Fabia vRS – left at the roadside.
A red mini was speeding down the Military Rd at about 2.20pm, reckless overtaking.
