Police from across the Island have been conducting a search for a missing child in Wootton this afternoon (Wednesday).
At just gone 15:45 it was reported to Hampshire Constabulary that a young girl had gone missing in the area surrounding Wootton Recreation Ground, prompting at least 5 Police vehicles to rush to the scene and begin a frantic search.
Thankfully, the child has since been found safe and well.
Response cops, dog handlers and road traffic officers all came together to assist in the search, which was concluded by 16:30.
