Police have today (Monday) been carrying out investigations at a newly-opened restaurant in Shanklin following allegations made by a female member of staff against a colleague.
Three Police units arrived at Planet Buffet in the High Street at around 07:00 this morning, with at least four Police officers remaining at the property – formally Siam Pearl – throughout the morning, sparking interest from Island Echo readers.
It is understood that a female member of staff has made a serious allegation against a colleague, resulting in a Police investigation being launched overnight.
Scenes of Crime forensic investigators arrived at the all-you-can-eat restaurant this lunchtime to gather photographs. Police have since left the premises.
Restaurant owner Tazul Alam has told Island Echo that the business nor it’s food is involved and that they have simply been helping Police with their enquiries today.
Planet buffet remains open for business.
