Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating a break-in at National Tyres in Newport this week.
Officers were called to the garage at Shide yesterday morning (Tuesday) after it was discovered that a window had been smashed and a cash safe stolen.
Thankfully only petty cash was taken during the break-in, which occurred at around 05:00. A scrap tyre was used to smash the window.
Forensic officers have conducted an examination of the scene. Investigations continue.
