Police and the National Police Air Service helicopter were deployed to the Nunwell area of Brading late last night (Wednesday) in the search for a missing woman.
Officers were first seen responding to the West Lane and Coach Lane area at around 22:15, with at least 4 police vehicles searching around the Nunwell estate and surrounding farmland.
The NPAS helicopter from Bournemouth arrived overhead at approximately 22:45 and spent 30 minutes circling the area as part of the search operation.
Police were later observed on Brading Downs, including at the viewpoint car park. It is understood that the missing woman was located in that area, although Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have not confirmed the exact location.
Police have, however, confirmed that the incident is related to a missing woman who has since been found.
