The National Police Air Service helicopter was drafted in to help officers on the Isle of Wight locate a missing male last night (Saturday).
It was around 20:45 that the helicopter arrived in the skies above Shanklin, circling the town and the wider Bay area for around 45 minutes.
No fewer than 6 Police vehicles descended on Shanklin Train Station, with searches commencing in the local area.
The NPAS helicopter from Bournemouth soon followed the train line north to Brading before returning to Shanklin and eventually standing down.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed to Island Echo that the individual has now been located.
