UPDATED: POLICE, FIRE AND AMBULANCE CREWS RESPOND TO 2-CAR CRASH AT SHALFLEET

Emergency services are responding to a 2-car crash in Shalfleet this evening (Friday). Police, fire and ambulance crews are on scene at A3054 Main Road. Island Echo understands 2 vehicles have been involved on the west side of the traffic lights, near Church Lane. The incident occurred shortly before 18:10. The road remains open under give and take, under the direction of emergency teams. UPDATE – The rear-end collision has seen a maroon-coloured Peugeot collide into the back of a grey Kia. Paramedics are tending to those involved, but no serious injuries are thought to have been sustained. Traffic is heavy in the area, with the road expected to fully reopen once recovery of the cars has taken place.
