UPDATED: Police have closed Burnt House Lane in Newport this afternoon (Monday) following a road traffic collision.
2 vehicles have collided on the narrow country lane between Downend and Pan Lane. The incident occurred shortly before 14:45.
A rapid response paramedic, 2 ambulances and an ambulance officer are all on scene, alongside Police.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident however the road has been closed in both directions whilst recovery is arranged.
UPDATE @ 16:10 – A number of minor injuries have been sustained in the crash, which has involved a Ford and a Mitsubishi. A total of 9 people have been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital.
Recovery of the vehicles is taking place and the road is anticipated to reopen shortly.
