Several loose horses caused disruption for motorists on a rural road in Bowcombe yesterday morning (Saturday) after escaping from a nearby field.
At around 09:16, the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service alerted Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary to reports of horses loose on Bowcombe Road. A pair of PCSOs attended to assist response officers so that other emergency resources could be freed up.
The animals were safely corralled off the carriageway and returned to a field a short time later. Thankfully, there were no injuries or collisions reported as a result of the incident.
Taking to their Facebook page, Isle of Wight Police confirmed that the horses’ owner had been located and arrangements were being made to repair fencing at the property to prevent a repeat occurrence.
No further action was required, and the road was clear shortly after the incident.

seeing as the horses blocked the road, were the horses demands met – were they given assurances that their fields will not be built on for unwanted non island born humans
Whether a person is born in Scotland, Wales, Ireland,
Blackpool, London, Luton or the Isle of Wight
All persons have a right to live on the island.
People don’t have to be born on the island to live on the
Island.
You obviously are an uneducated Refrormer, there is still hope
for persons like yourself in this world.
