Concerns have again been raised in Ryde after a suspicious substance – feared to be poison – was found in Appley Park on Wednesday afternoon.
A concerned member of the public contacted Island Echo after her dog ran straight towards the suspicious substance.
It follows incidents in August this year in which dogs had fallen ill after visiting Appley Park, as previously reported by Island Echo.
The piles appear to be similar in appearance.
The substance is said to be located on the path that runs along the top (southern) side of the park.
Dog walkers are being urged to keep dogs on leads and to be vigilant when exercising their animals in the area.

It looks like dog sick.?
Exactly. Just the same as last time. It is partially digested dog nuts, which have been vomited.
And dogs are all too happy to eat dog sick, especially when it contains delicious dog nuts. The dog that puked this vomit may be sick and other dogs could get sick from eating its vomit. Keep your dogs on their leads. They should be at all times anyway.
Cleverly disguised to resemble dog sick.
What the hell is wrong with these people.
Who in their right mind would do this. They need finding & fed some of their own bait!
Total arseholes!!! Who, what, why!!!? Who hates animals that much they’re sick, demented nasty garbage
From the solitary picture shown I would say this could be a mould or fungus. So could be toxic.
Why not involve the police? call them!
Why is this a substance suspicious? Just looks like dog vomit to me. Perhaps it should be tested before scaring dog owners.
just a sad person who is a bit gone in the head that needs help.
There are morons everywhere so one has to be vigilant.
