A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital this morning (Friday) after being hit by a car in Porchfield.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Colemans Lane at around 08:00, where it was discovered a man has received leg injuries after being hit by a black Ford Focus hatchback that had rolled onto its roof.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service made the gentleman comfortable before conveying him to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport for treatment.
The driver of the Ford was not injured in the incident.
The road remains open.
