There is good news for expectant parents on the Isle of Wight as partners will be able to once again attend baby scans from Monday (27th July).
The Maternity Department at St Mary’s Hospital has announced that partners will be able to attend early pregnancy scans, 1st trimester (12 weeks) and anomaly scans (20 weeks) as of next week.
All mums-to-be and partners should wear a mask and attendees should arrive as close as possible to the allocated appointment time as possible.
A spokesperson for the department has said:
“We are aware that this has been challenging for you all, and would like to thank you for your understanding.
“We will be regularly reviewing our visiting and attendance restrictions but are currently maintaining that all other appointments are attended alone due to the social distancing required. Thank you”.
