A 48-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man are in custody this evening (Monday) following an alleged assault on 2 people in Shanklin.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has launched an investigation after 2 individuals were assaulted at an address on Landguard Road.
As part of police enquiries, officers attended an address at just before 14:20 this afternoon and made 2 arrests.
It has been confirmed that both a 48-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man have been detained on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Both people remain in custody at this time.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened, but Police say no one was seriously hurt.
UPDATE TUESDAY – Police have confirmed that the 25-year-old man has been bailed until 22nd December.
The 48-year-old woman has been released without charge.
