You see lots of bikes big and small parked up never a disc lock or a heavy chain through the wheels or just the flimsy steering lock that is so easy to break and they wonder why it gets nicked sorry for your loss hope insurance pays up
Shut up, nobody deserves to have their pride and joy knicked whether its locked or not…
Disagree with the heavy chain or disc lock, with onus being on a neglectful owners David, that isn’t always the case. I have knowledge of at least 3 bikes/scooters with both sophisticated locks plus heavy chains through the wheels being nicked in the past. Criminals clearly don’t care about damaging the bike, probably pinching them for parts, which I hope isn’t the case this time. There is a spate of bike thefts, in the last couple of weeks around Ryde/Ashey/,Brading and I think Shanklin – my sister’s scooter is missing and almost certainly (99% sure) is the one that was found torched on Yaverland beach cliff path! Sad times.
