An overturned car is blocking the main road between Shanklin and Ventnor this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency service crews are currently on scene on Cowleaze Hill dealing with the single vehicle incident which occurred at around 08:30.
Island Echo understands that the Fiat Panda was travelling towards Ventnor when they lost control on the bend and smashed into the barrier.
Thankfully, only minor injuries have been reported.
The road has been closed in both directions, with motorists heading between the 2 seaside towns, having to divert via Wroxall – which has recently re-opened.
Southern Vectis Route 3 buses are currently diverting from Ventnor back through Upper Ventnor and Wroxall to Whiteley Bank and Victoria Avenue into Shanklin.
