The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service mobilised 2 appliances to Newport’s Blackwater Road following fears of a vehicle fire this morning (Tuesday).
Crews from East Cowes and Newport were sent to the scene near Newclose Cricket Ground at around 09:40.
Firefighters used 1 hose reel jet to cool the overheated breaks of a Heavy Goods Vehicle and stood down shortly after 10:00.
